Healing starts where the needles are placed because they signal to the nervous and circulatory systems to release chemicals and endorphins that support whole-body healing.
When you come in for a treatment, you are telling your body it is time to heal. Over time, your body rebalances, and with the support of wellness rituals alongside your treatment, you will discover a better way to recover.
New to acupuncture or already familiar with its benefits? From fatigue and stress to chronic pain, digestive issues, anxiety, and other ailments, you’ll find that a supportive and holistic practice awaits.
As an ancient form of medicinal healing that is over 2,000 years old, acupuncture is a holistic treatment that stimulates the body to balance itself. It is not spiritual or energy work– acupuncture is rooted in how the nervous system plays a dynamic role in the body’s healing process. As a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, I merge my upbringing in China, studies of acupuncture, and experience as a corporate professional to help you treat the underlying causes of a stressful modern life.
““Ivy has helped me understand so much about myself, how so many parts of the body are connected, how to balance out my life more, and identified areas that need more care. I leave the treatments feeling refreshed and more centered. I occasionally have some pain in some parts of my body and it's gone by the time I leave my session. Ivy has been my acupuncturist for the past 3 years and I would definitely recommend. I have so many amazing things to say about Ivy and this space she has built””

“Professional, warm, and skilled — I always walk out feeling lighter. Great for both chronic issues and general wellbeing.”
As a Licensed Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, I believe in treating the root cause– not chasing symptoms. My specialty is dictated by my patient, meaning that each treatment is tailored to your body’s specific and unique needs.
From migraines and back pain to insomnia, digestion, and allergies, acupuncture is a powerful natural way to aid the body in healing. In an acupuncture treatment, I gently insert fine, delicate needles into key meridian points (or acupoints) throughout the body to peacefully activate the nervous system to regulate hormones and calm the body. Ongoing treatment is recommended for the best results. In your first appointment, we will evaluate your condition, create a treatment plan, and wellness goals to support you.
Clinical studies have shown that acupuncture in conjunction with IVF can increase success rates by as much as 50%. A fertility-specific acupuncture session is designed to support conception, reproductive health, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer.
Cupping is an ancient therapy that uses suction to draw blood flow to an area or muscle group to improve circulation, oxygen supply, and tension. It’s an excellent supplement to acupuncture therapy that can ease arthritis, back pain, high blood pressure, and more.

As you would any doctor’s appointment, plan to arrive about 15 minutes early to settle in and fill out your forms. You’ll be invited to share more details about your condition(s) and overall health in the treatment room.
Because acupuncture is a holistic (whole-body) approach, I will ask you about your digestion, sleep patterns, eating habits, and stress levels. Even if you’re visiting to address your back pain, these other factors will impact your treatment.
After your intake, we will check your pulse and tongue for color, coating, shape, and texture, which informs your treatment. Then, you’ll lie down on the treatment table (similar to a massage table), where I will gradually and gently insert a series of fine needles at various points in your body that will have maximum impact and healing potential for you.
Most people won’t feel much, while others might experience a slight sensation when the needle is inserted that quickly subsides. These needles, inserted at strategic acupoints, will be left in place for 20-25 minutes. I’ll turn out the lights, play soothing music, and leave you to relax. Some patients even fall asleep! I’ll return to remove the needles and check in with how you feel. After your appointment, I may recommend Chinese Herbs to support your treatment, and at this time, you may schedule your follow-up.
After your acupuncture treatment, stay hydrated with plenty of water or herbal teas. Avoid alcohol, coffee, and other caffeine-rich drinks as your body releases toxins. Stay warm, avoid the cold, get plenty of rest, and go light on exercise for 1-2 days after your appointment.
